So lots has been happening over the past few days. Coming off the victory in the world cup, all of us were pretty amped to be alive. I went in search of a Spanish jersey, only to find they were pretty darned expensive. This was after class on Thursday. Kat and I went went around trying to shop for some things. Kat did more shopping than I did, and luckily, she doesn't try stuff on.
We shopped for a bit and then went home and took that night to rest and relax, catch up on some
sleep and get our acts together.
The next day was Friday and we were ready to bust out and have a great weekend. We observed classes early in the day for our own class and
then hit up the playa.

The beach was gorgeous and had an array of, what we all referred to them as, the most beautiful people in the world. However. I had forgotten that the human body is a much respected thing in Spain, so there was a lot of...naked tops floating around. We hung out for a bit and then we (we being the students in the teacher formation course) took our leave to rest for our big night of clubbing and bar hopping ahead.

We started our night at Cangrejos (which means...yes, Crabs) and we met Maxim the Opera singing queen. He was this french kid who seemed to feel the need to BELT out every song played at the bar, and no I don't mean like a jovial drunk gentleman, I mean like a crazy inebriated opera singer. Lady Gaga doesn't quite sound as amazing when pouring out of the mouth of France's answer to Andrea Bocelli. After several STRONG drinks here (like 3 shots/mixer ratio) we then went to Museo and had an awesome time dancing around to the best hits of the U.S. 90's. I hadn't heard the song "Bootylicious" in forever, but it was great. We hit a wall at about 3:00am and headed home, drunkenly bantering in front of our befuddled cabbie.
Kat and I are headed out for some Tapas now, and to rest up for the big game tomorrow!
Until next time
~Scott
