After being at the beach near the Olympic village for most of the day, Kat and I parted ways to nap so that we were able to go out to have tapas that night. We ended up having a great time at Casa Tomasa (I think that is what it was called) and had some great tapas, Cava, and as always, some laughs.
Today I did a lot of sight-seeing and feeling out of the city. I started outwalking to the
Sagrada Familia to take a look if the shops were open today...it is Sunday and I forgot that things aren't open. Oh well, I continued down to see if the Mercat de San Antoni was open. No dice....BUT I found the most interesting open-air book Market nearby. I perused and saw a bunch of books that I'd love to buy for my class and for myself. Needless to say, I will be returning.
I took the metro back to the Sagrada Familia to take a look at it's open air market. Nothing really interested me, but I went all the same. Took a few pictures of the amazing structure that I pass so nonchalantly everyday and continued to Passeig de Gracia.
From Passeig de Gracia I took a few pictures of the cool fountains in the Plaza and headed down to Placa Cataluyna and took some more pictures. I walked through Las
Ramblas and continued on my way to the metro, stopping every so often to consider if I should buy a Spanish National Team Jersey. I think tonight I just may...who know.
Well, I'm to prep myself for the big game!
España vs. Netherlands for the title this evening. VIVA LA ROJA!

Until next time
